Stundwiller

Stundwiller is mentioned for the first time in 1397. The village becomes part of the bailiwick of Lauterburg, stronghold of the Prince Bishop of Speyer and it forms with Aschbach Oberroedern a court mentioned since 1376.

Throughout the fifteenth century, the Lords of Winstein have possessions, in fee of Two Bridges and Ochenstein. In 1939, residents were evacuated and grouped in Haute-Vienne, the village will be destroyed four fifths. Between 1965 and 1967, the church and the Town Hall will be returned to their respective functions.
