The Community of Communes Hattgau, whose headquarters in the town hall of Hatten, was created on 1 January 2002 and brings together the six municipalities of:

• Oberroedern
• Rittershoffen
• Stundwiller
that are part of the canton of Soultz-sous-Forêts and the district of Wissembourg. This community has 8,561 inhabitants according to the census of 1 January 2010.
