What not to compost waste?

Plastics and synthetic fabrics, glass and metals do not degrade. Avoid the contents of vacuum cleaner bags, but also the dust timber joinery and carpentry which are often chemically treated, varnished or painted. Generally, no chemicals, motor oil should be mixed with compost. Many of these wastes can be recycled at the recycling center.
